The particles -kah can also serve as suffix.
The suffix -kah indicates that the expression is a question. It is added to the word in the sentence that is the main focus of the question.
The Indonesian Suffix –kah is also known as particle which functions to emphasize certain statement.
The use of suffix –kah is divided into the following categories based on the functions.
- siapakah (siapa+kah) = who is it actually?
- bolehkah (boleh+kah) = may I?
- sudahkah (sudah+kah) = is it done?
- mungkinkah (mungkin+kah) = is it possible?
Suffix –kah is used to turn regular question sentence into a more polite form. It is also used to change informative statement into interrogative form.
