In a few cases the verb (transitive) means that what is expressed by the base is removed from the object.
Circumfix
In this case the suffix ‘-i’ is added to the base word – a intransitive verb that changes the base into transitive verb. This process is called Circumfix.
Root: sisik (scale – noun or to scale – verb)
- Create base verb: prefix me- + sisik → menyisik (intransitive)
- In a sentence: Dia menyisik.

- Add suffix -i to the base verb → menyisik+i. (transitive)

- Meaning: He/She scaling the fish.
