Every family, every compound and every organisation has a temple. These temples come alive with days of colorful celebration, processions and nights of drama and dance during holy days. Pura Besakih - The Mother Temple - which is located on the slope of Mount Agung, is deemed to be owned by the whole island. It's not actually one temple, but a complex of 23 separate but related temples.
