diversiSHARE cards ask the players to talk about themselves, their own culture or background, or their personal experience with intercultural diversity issues related to the theme of the game and to the information provided on the card.
It is extremely important that these cards not require individuals to share their feelings, judgments or assessments about other individuals or groups but simply to note difference and how they may feel about it to the degree that they are comfortable. Deeper sharing can be an important part of diversity work and intercultural training, but it normally requires a lengthier discussion than is appropriate for a game situation, though if the game is part of a longer program more might be said in the debrief.
There are no right or wrong answers to SHARE questions. Those who share are given some cultural form of appreciation or acknowledgement in gestures or words by their team mates as described on the bottom of the card.
The player who drew the card and shared receives 5 Points.
diversiSHARE is one of five categories included in Diversophy Cross Cultural Game pack, Cultural Specific: Indonesia.
